Building technology consultant's reputation with NFPs

Developing thought-leadership in charity tech and telco

Overview

As a technology and telecommunications consultant specialising in Australian not-for-profits and charities, Dog and Bone wanted to establish a strong thought-leadership position amongst this audience.

A concise and direct content strategy-on-a-page was developed to guide content creation. Using a combination of keyword research and expert insight as a foundation, a series of search-optimised articles were created and published.

Results

Engagement with Dog and Bone's content increased substantially, and the usage of this content by leadership led to a number of high-value conversations with both prospects and existing clients.

My work

I developed the content SOAP, building upon the brand values and key messages to ensure all content delivered on the brand promise.

I then conducted extensive research to uncover the issues most important to non-profits, which included keyword volumes and interviews with internal consultants.

This work informed and guided the development of a content schedule, and the creation of eight unique SEO-driven articles on high value topics directly relevant to charities and NFPs.

Enhancing security: 7 ways mobile device management can help NFPs

As non-profit organisations increasingly rely on mobile devices to keep their operations running, mobile device management (MDM) has become a critical component in securing sensitive information. MDM provides a way to manage mobile devices remotely and enforce security policies to safeguard data.

How NFPs can take advantage of Starlink: A hands-on assessment

SpaceX's Starlink is gaining attention as a potential game-changer in the world of satellite connectivity. The low-latency, low cost, high-speed satellite internet service has been tested in a variety of contexts, but its potential impact on the non-profit and charity sectors was particularly intriguing to us.

The future of PABX phone systems in Australia

The PABX has been a crucial part of the not-for-profit sector in Australia for many years. However, with the rise of new technologies and changing customer preferences, the future of on premise PABXs in Australia is uncertain.

System selection for NFPs: Why the best is not always right

Technology is constantly evolving and improving, but it's important to understand that just because a software platform or system is considered the ‘best’, doesn't necessarily mean it's the right fit for a non-profit or charity.

Charity and Government Telco Pricing explained

Telecommunications can be confusing to navigate. With a myriad of plans, packages and providers, it can be difficult to know where to start. For time-poor non-profits and charities with sharply limited resources, negotiating the best rates and managing constantly shifting needs can be overwhelming.

Why the VTS is important for NFPs

Not-for-profits and charities often struggle with the challenges posed by limited resources, which can greatly impact their ability to effectively carry out their mission. Efficient and cost-effective operations coupled with low overheads mean that a larger portion of funds can be directed towards programs and initiatives, leading to a greater impact on the communities they serve.

Telco questions you should be asking

A key part of the tendering process is determining an organisation’s specific needs. If you don’t know what you have, you don’t know what you need.  Every organisation is different, even within the same sector. Whilst there are common requirements across many organisations, there are always important points of difference.
